Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of Siemens’ software development lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. DevOps Engineering & Automation
• Develop and implement automation tools and frameworks to enhance agile development and delivery processes.
• Build software solutions that facilitate efficient DevOps workflows.
• Ensure real-time alerting and automated incident response mechanisms.
2. Infrastructure & Cloud Management
• Architect and maintain scalable cloud infrastructures on AWS and Azure.
• Optimize containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deploy and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, OpenTofu, AWS CDK, Azure Bicep, and Pulumi.
3. Monitoring & Incident Management
• Implement monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, and ELK stack.
• Manage incident response, root cause analysis, and system reliability improvements.
4. Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD)
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and GitHub Actions.
• Automate software provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
• Define GitOps strategies for enhanced deployment efficiency.
5. Security & Compliance
• Implement best security practices for data protection, encryption, and compliance.
• Manage security protocols such as SSE-KMS, IAM policies, and cryptographic security standards.
6. Leadership & Collaboration
• Mentor and guide team members in DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align DevOps strategies with business goals.
• Engage with open-source communities to drive technological advancements.
Required Skills & Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess:
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, TCP).
• Experience in JIRA and Confluence for project management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
