Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Test Engineer at Citi, you will be responsible for:
1. End-to-End Automation Testing:
• Understanding project requirements, developing test plans, executing test scripts, analyzing results, and signing off on test cycles.
• Managing test data and ensuring it aligns with test requirements.
2. Test Automation Development:
• Designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks using Selenium with Java-BDD Framework.
• Implementing REST API testing and ensuring effective data validation.
3. Collaboration and Coordination:
• Working with cross-functional teams, including business managers, application managers, production support teams, and development teams.
• Coordinating with onshore and offshore teams to align testing efforts and ensure smooth execution.
4. Agile Testing Practices:
• Actively participating in Agile and Scrum meetings.
• Working closely with developers to ensure early detection and resolution of defects.
5. Quality Assurance & Reporting:
• Ensuring that defects are identified, reported, and resolved efficiently.
• Providing regular updates on test progress, defect reports, and quality metrics.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in automation test development.
• Expertise in Selenium with Java-BDD Framework.
• Strong experience with REST API testing, SQL, and Oracle.
• Hands-on experience in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, JUnit/TestNG, SOAPUI, Jenkins, BitBucket, and JIRA.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation best practices.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a geographically dispersed team.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
