Job Summary

Cognizant is actively looking for a skilled Infra Technology Specialist with 7 to 10 years of experience in DevOps and Infrastructure Automation. The right candidate should have strong expertise in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), and scripting languages like PowerShell.

The role is primarily focused on automating and optimizing infrastructure processes across Azure and AWS environments, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and promoting DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle.

 Key Responsibilities

1. CI/CD Pipeline Optimization

You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. The goal is to ensure faster, reliable, and automated software delivery for applications across cloud environments.

2. Infrastructure Automation with Terraform & IaC

You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure on both Azure and AWS.

3. Kubernetes Management (AKS & EKS)

Whether it’s Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), you’ll manage the setup, configuration, scaling, and monitoring of clusters. Security best practices and automation for deployment and scaling will be a major part of this responsibility.

4. Release Management

You’ll automate end-to-end release management processes, which include setting up environments, coordinating deployments, and implementing rollback strategies in case of failures.

5. Configuration Management

You’ll use tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to standardize and automate system configurations across environments, ensuring consistency and reducing manual errors.

6. Monitoring & Alerting

You’ll automate the integration of monitoring tools like New Relic to track application performance and infrastructure health. Alerts will be set up for timely responses to issues.

7. Self-Service Infrastructure

Empower development teams by creating self-service automation scripts that allow them to provision, manage, and destroy infrastructure without manual IT intervention.

8. DevOps Evangelism

As part of the core DevOps team, you’ll play a key role in spreading DevOps culture, mentoring junior engineers, and improving collaboration across Dev, QA, and Ops teams.

 Be an expert in scripting using PowerShell
