Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer at Citi, you will play a crucial role in the Applications Development team, contributing to the full lifecycle of new feature development. You will be responsible for automating deployments, enhancing security, and collaborating with technology teams to improve system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-End Feature Development: Participate in analysis, design, construction, testing, and rollout of new features.
• Automation & Review: Play a key role in automating DevOps activities and review processes.
• Technology Upgrades: Keep up with emerging technologies and provide recommendations for best practices.
• Operational Support: Assist stakeholders with application issues and provide operational support.
• Collaboration & Consultation: Work with application teams and technology groups to deliver solutions.
• Security & Risk Management: Ensure systems are secure and resilient against threats.
• CI/CD & Deployment: Automate development, release processes, and daily DevOps activities.
Required Skills & Experience
• Experience: 3-5 years in IT, with relevant DevOps and development experience.
• Java & Microservices: Strong understanding of core Java ecosystem, microservice architecture, and distributed systems.
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
• Linux & Scripting: Good knowledge of Linux environments and Bash scripting.
• CI/CD Practices: Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies.
• Cloud Technologies: Experience with Cloudera and AWS is a plus.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
